• Make sure that the right type of battery is used and properly set up.
• Switch off the ignition as well and all other electrical consumers.
• Secure the battery to its base.
• Clean, dry and tighten the terminals.
• Check the charging circuit (dynamo or alternator, belt, regulator) and starter.

 When disassembling, first disconnect the negative terminal. When installing, first, connect the positive terminal.
